From this session, what information made a lasting impression? It is a great tool for digital story telling where students can actively participate.
How will you use this information as a teacher? (Productivity tool? Instructional tool?) I could use it as a culminating activity following a field trip. Students will share their experiences from the field trip through pictures and words (writing).
How will your students use this information? (What kind of learning activity?) They will use it in a writing assignment to inform their audience. The students will narrate using their written product. The pictures taken during the field trip will correlate with the narration to produce a movie.
What kind of product will be produced from this type of educational handheld activity? A movie.
How will you assess the student-created product? Total group observation.
What roadblocks are currently in place that would prevent you from doing this in your classroom? Finding the time to further familiarize myself with the Moviemaker program.
